Hi, I am Chaithra Nataraj.
I love that feeling. The feeling of sitting on a bus or an airplane or a train for long hours. I get lost in the journey. The mountains are always calling me and I feel at home in the mountains. The beaches and sunsets make me alive. The cities pull me into their arms and I can roam around randomly in any city all day long. I have been bitten by the outdoors and wanderlust.. and by the romanticism of solo travel. Travel makes me happy.

I was born and brought up in Mysore in Southern India. I currently call San Francisco my home and work as a Software Engineer by the day. When I am not traveling, I love to explore the sights and tastes that vibrant San Francisco has to offer, do yoga, read, take pictures and acquire some new skills.
Favorite destination so far: All of them but on the top is Peru.
Dream destination: Patagonia, Chile and Argentina.
Some facts: I can never travel light. It’s hard for me to relax while traveling because I want to see it all. So far, I have traveled to around 15 national parks in the USA, Thailand, Indonesia, Europe, Peru, Japan, Canada and bits of some other countries. However, I haven’t traveled much in India. Solo travel was supposed to be a one-time adventure but a lot of my international travels have been solo. I also tell people that I do not travel alone to find myself. Well yes, I travel because I love traveling. But solo travel has definitely helped me find myself in some ways. Sitting around a campfire with my best buddies on chilly nights, drinking beer after long hikes – my other favorite travel activity!
